Arizona Administrative Code r6-6-901, commonly known as Article 9, is an Arizona law. This law relates to how the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities will proactively and positively support people's positive and adaptive behavior. This course includes a clear definition of techniques that are prohibited from use at any time, techniques that require a division approved behavior plan and/or techniques that require no prior approval. Course taught by a certified Article 9 Instructor. Duration - Approximately 3 Hours  This certificate is valid for 3 years. Course Content for Article 9: Historical Information, Confidentiality, Positive Behavior Supports, Respect, Dignity, and Positive Interactions with Members, Consent, Client Rights, Abuse and Neglect, Proactive Strategies, PRC/HRC Behavior Building Plans, Prohibitions, Emergency Measures, Reporting, Sanctions  

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with a business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips- you will have a blast! Course Topics Include Babysitting as a business Safety and injury prevention guidelines and best practices Leadership strategies to build confidence when responding to conflict Tips on age-appropriate play How to build rapport and stay engaged with children Basic caregiving skills such as feeding, burping, diapering, and safe sleep practices Basic first aid for common incidents

Course Content for ASHI CPR/AEDGood Samaritan Law, complications of CPR, stroke, heart attack, CPR barriers, choking, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR for the adult, child and infant.Each student will be required to practice hands-on CPR skills in this course. Duration: Approximately 2 hoursThis certification is valid for 2 years.Audience: Anyone needing a certification that specifically states "CPR/AED” WE CAN COME TO YOU!Call our office if you have alarge group and would like aninstructor to come to your facility. This class does not include First Aid. This course will prepare an instructor to teach the Direct Care Worker curriculum. In this Train the Trainer course, you will learn how to properly manage DCW related documents, deliver the curriculum, and how to properly test out students on physical skills. The potential instructor will test out on the written and physical skills test. This course is required for those instructors who desire to teach the AHCCCS approved curriculum for the Arizona Direct Care Worker program.
