Caring for others means more than meeting physical needs-it’s about understanding the emotions that shape daily experiences. In this training, caregivers will explore how anxiety presents across two key populations: individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and aging adults. Participants will learn to recognize subtle signs of anxiety, identify common triggers, and apply practical, evidence-based strategies to provide compassionate, effective support. Through real-world examples, reflective discussions, and proactive tools, caregivers will discover how to build predictability, communicate clearly, monitor sensory sensitivities, and teach coping skills that promote calm and confidence. The course also emphasizes caregiver well-being, highlighting self-care and collaboration as essential components of quality care.
