Arizona Administrative Code r6-6-901, commonly known as Article 9, is an Arizona law. This law relates to how the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities will proactively and positively support people's positive and adaptive behavior. This course includes a clear definition of techniques that are prohibited from use at any time, techniques that require a division approved behavior plan and/or techniques that require no prior approval. Course taught by a certified Article 9 Instructor. Duration - Approximately 3 Hours  This certificate is valid for 3 years. Course Content for ASHI CPR/AEDGood Samaritan Law, complications of CPR, stroke, heart attack, CPR barriers, choking, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR for the adult, child and infant.Each student will be required to practice hands-on CPR skills in this course. Duration: Approximately 2 hoursThis certification is valid for 2 years.Audience: Anyone needing a certification that specifically states "CPR/AED” WE CAN COME TO YOU!Call our office if you have alarge group and would like aninstructor to come to your facility. This class does not include First Aid. The CPR and First Aid Skills session through Arizona Provider Training provides hands-on, competency-based instruction using the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) curriculum. This course is for people who take the Online CPR & First Aid Courses through APT. The online course must be completed in order to attend this class. This training is designed to ensure participants can confidently apply life-saving skills in real-world emergencies.

During this in-person skills training, participants demonstrate proficiency in adult, child, and infant CPR, including the correct use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and effective relief of choking. First Aid skills focus on immediate response to common medical and injury-related emergencies such as bleeding, shock, burns, fractures, allergic reactions, seizures, and sudden illness. Emphasis is placed on scene safety, assessment, decision-making, and appropriate activation of emergency medical services.

Instruction is delivered by experienced, authorized instructors who provide feedback and skills verification to ensure mastery. This skills session complements the online coursework and meets HSI certification requirements.

Upon successful completion, participants earn a two-year HSI CPR/AED and First Aid certification, equipping them with the confidence and competence to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
